The Commission:

Purpose:

• The Commission functions as the direct interface with Routt County school districts and community groups who are seeking grants from the Steamboat Springs Education Fund.
• All requests for funding from SSEF are initiated through the commission.
  The Commission hears requests for expenditures that support academics and student achievement and for funds to be used for technology hardware, software and training as well as the construction of facilities that support the educational mission of the districts.
• The Commission examines requests in detail, votes on which requests to send forward to the Fund Board, and prioritizes according to available funding.
