Grant History

• Small Class Size: Since the Steamboat Springs Fund Board’s inception, class size has been a top consideration for Steamboat Springs parents. This year, the gift is funding salaries for 11 teachers across the SSSD.
• Spanish: Spanish language instruction has been expanded for students in grades 3-8.
• Gifted and Talented Instruction: Fund Board gifts include 3 full- time teachers to provide gifted students with educational opportunities that challenge their intellect.
• Middle School Addition: Two middle school additions created a new wing for the 6th grade, providing an infrastructure that supports team teaching, and new administrative offices located at the entrance to the building to improve school safety.
• Citrix Computer System: The Citrix technology allows for programming in a central server, which saves on expensive licensing fees for individual computers and reduces maintenance costs. Citrix is considered to be one of the most advanced computer systems in the nation.
• Technology Upgrades: The Soroco and Hayden Districts have benefited from improvements in technology hardware and software since becoming eligible for grants after the 2008 election.
