Keeping Our Promises
The Fund Board is guided by two core principles: (1) to spend taxpayers dollars prudently and according to the wishes of the community, and (2) to align funding to support the mission of the Board of Education and the goals of the District’s Strategic Plan. The EFB is also proud to report that less than one percent of the budget is allocated to administrative costs.
There are several ways Steamboat Springs residents can help strengthen our schools by supporting Education Fund Board activities.
- Come to our meetings. All board and commission meetings are open to the public. We encourage the community to attend and participate in the public commentary.
- Volunteer to be on a commission. Check this site for openings or send us an email here.
- Stay informed about the Education Fund.
The sales tax is scheduled to expire in December 2009. The board expects to return the initiative to voters for an extension. Watch for updates on this site and in local news outlets.
